We want to know!!

There are many new movies coming out this summer, and some of them we're just not sure if we should take our child(ren) to see. Let's rely on eachother to know if the movie was kid friendly or for adult eyes only. We will list the movie, the premier date and then we will list information you send to us about the movie. Send your information to angie@funforourkids.com and let us know if you watched it, if you took the children to see it, and what your thoughts are. Please e-mail me the information, including age of your child(ren) when stating if it was appropriate or inappropriate, and I will add the information to the site. Also let us know if there is anything to watch out for (violence, sex scenes, language, etc.) This will help other parents know if they will be making a special trip to the movies this weekend or staying at home. Thanks everyone and let us know.

The Incredible Hulk

I just went yesterday with my 4-year-old little boy to watch this. He LOVES Marvel movies and this was not a disappointment for him. He was a little bored during the movie plot but the movie had his full attention whenever THE HULK came on the screen. I only had to cover his eyes once. There was a little violence and the other "monster" was a little scary looking. This is for a true fan whose parent does not mind a little violence. --Angie, website partner

WALL-E

We enjoyed the movie at Movie Tavern in Hilliard. I took my 12 year old and 8 year old. My girlfriend brought her 3 and 5 year old. It was a great movie with a lesson for all. It kept our attention and was entertaining at the same time. It had a few items just for adults to reminisce about our childhood past. This move sparked great conversation after the movie with the kids.--Kim

Kung Fu Panda

This movie was a lot of fun. I loved the value that the movie was teaching. My 4 year-old and 8 year-old both enjoyed it. It's a family movie with some underlying humor that the parents will enjoy. --Angie, website partner

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

I took my 9 year old son to see this and we loved it - but we read the book first! My younger daughters listened to the book with us, but I chose not to take them to the movie and I was glad. It was a bit intense, lots of battles (though nothing too gory or graphic - all done tastefully). The movie was really well done, but I think will not be appreciated as much by someone not familiar with the story. As usual, the book was much better than the movie!  ~Elizabeth

Speed Racer

Nim's Island

Batman: The Dark Knight

THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR LITTLE ONES! We went to the opening premier last night and let me just say, I will not be taking my 4 year-old to see this movie! I don't care how much he loves comics. There were parts in it that freaked me out! I would say...adults only. --Angie, website partner.

Mamma Mia!

This was a very cute movie. Lots of singing and dancing around. There was not much that was inappropriate other than the mention of sex in a few instances. There were some little girls from ages 12+ that were in the theater and said that they enjoyed the movie. ~ Angie, website partner

Space Chimps

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emporer

The Siterhood of the Traveling Pants 2

This movie is perfect for younger teen and pre-teen girls. There was no inappropriate items in the movie at all. There was some talk about the death of one girl's mother, but was not too heavy. Very good for young girls with family and self-esteem. ~Angie, website partner

Fly Me to the Moon

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (opening 8/15)

The Longshots

Goal! II: Living the Dream

Igor (opening 9/19) - A hunchbacked lab assistant has big dreams of becoming a mad scientist and winning the first place prize at the annual Evil Science Fair. This is an animated show and rated PG.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year (10/24)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - SORRY EVERYONE. THIS HAS BEEN MOVED UNTIL JULY 2009

Beverly Hills Chihuahua - We watched this movie over the weekend and my boys laughed harder than I thought they would. It was very cute and of course had a happy ending. The talking dogs were great. My 4 year old's favorite part was at the very end.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa - SORRY EVERYONE. THIS HAS BEEN MOVED UNTIL JULY 2009
